Stonehill Produce Website

Web Designer

Description

Stonehill Produce website was recently updated but lacked color, information hierarchy, and personal touches a smaller, but high-yielding importer should have.

Having just been through a website redesign, the client was skeptical about going through another with similar results. Our agency is very hands-on providing checks and balances throughout the design, development, and launch phase.

Project Overview

Design and develop a new, customizable WordPress website that utilized best practices, current trends and allows interactive components to help clients understand what sets their company apart from other importers.

Video elements needed to be taken along with new photos and headshots to create a more cohesive website.

Goals

  • Create a WordPress website with an interactive map
  • Scalable website for future product and clientele
  • Use best practices in designing and coding
  • Follow an unofficial brand guide using logo colors and mission statement
  • Company video and stills from the video

Target Audience

The target audience was current clients but needed to address common requests or needs. If our team could answer questions or put other downloadable PDFs on the website, it should free up the client and team's time.

Had to direct customers to another page to learn more.

Design Requirements

Build a customizable WordPress website that utilized logo colors, organizes/adds copy, and develops interactive elements which would work together to reflect the company's position within the industry.

Requirements

  • Incorporate logo colors
  • Create content hierarchy
  • Develop scalable website
  • Utilize animations and video elements

Project Reflection

Project goals were achieved. The background video on the homepage clearly showed what the company did and could do. Color was implemented to showcase copy, maps, and imagery throughout the site. The client was incredibly happy with the final design and development experience. They have built a reputation as a premier importer and now the website reflects that message.

Achieved

  • Create a scalable WordPress website with animations. Developed additional sections that were not published, but the client could easily implement when ready.
  • Use best practices in designing and coding. Used color, space, video, and animations to increase readability and website organization to its users. Displayed content in a hierarchical and correct HTML5 format.
  • Follow an unofficial brand guide using logo colors and a mission statement. Implemented logo colors throughout the website in headlines, backgrounds, and other elements, creating a cohesive website.
  • Company video and photography. Created a company video and stills, then used parts of that to share on social media and the website.
