About

For as long as I can remember crafting, creating, and designing have always been a part of my life. I took that passion for creativity and made it into a career by majoring in Interior Design and Construction Management with minors in Business Law and Art History. Those fields may sound unrelated, but Business Law provided an in-depth understanding of contracts, arbitration, and business ethics, while art history provided a better understanding of design.

I continued my education by acquiring a degree in graphic design with web emphasis which greatly benefitted from my knowledge of color, interior design, and art history making me a force to be reckoned with in the web design industry.

Designing a website is much like designing a room - a mood needs to be set, proper space and proportions need to be created, while functionality has to always be at the forefront. This is UI/UX before such a term was defined.

Design isn't just a job for me, but more of a way of life. When I am not working or creating for the web, you'll most likely find me still being creative by:

  • Taking and editing wildlife photos
  • Exploring the outdoors
  • Managing our short-term and long-term rental properties
  • Renovating our home
  • Playing softball
  • Taking a break with our kitties

My career path has allowed me to work for many different-sized companies. From start-ups that need to move 100 mph and pivot overnight, to large companies who have established brand guidelines and a voice. With this unique background, I can easily adapt to changing situations, draw upon past experiences that few others have been exposed to, and have the ability to take a step back to look for solutions from all angles.
